Giant Squid in Japan

A giant squid was swimming inside the marina of Toyama and spotted by fishermen. Giant squids typically live 650 meters to 900 meters below the sea level; and recently a few caught in the Toyama Bay fishermen’s nets were dead and white. Fishermen were surprised to find this giant squid hanging for several hours in the marina and even swimming next to divers. The squid was later led back to the open ocean. Presumably, the giant squid had a nice Christmas and didn’t end up on the grill.
