The Way You Dance is an independent Canadian dance-driven feature film starring Tzi Ma, Canadian Screen Award nominee and Hollywood legend, and Kyle Toy. The story follows a dancer (Toy) returning home to care for his estranged father (Ma), who is battling terminal cancer. Along the way, he finds redemption, healing, and purpose through mentoring a diverse community dance class — including a transgender teen navigating the journey to live authentically.
2024 Canadian Screen Award winning filmmakers Quentin Lee and Cindy Au Yeung warmly invite musicians from around the world to submit hip hop dance tracks for potential synchronization and master licensing placement in the film. While we are unable to offer a licensing fee, selected contributors will receive on-screen credit in the film’s end credits and be featured in related publicity and marketing opportunities.
