When I heard that fellow filmmaker Colette Johnson-Vosberg was turning her lens on Canada’s queer country music scene for her third LGBTQ+ documentary feature, I knew I had to learn more. As a queer filmmaker myself, I was intrigued by the stories behind the songs—and the artists carving out their place in country music.
